More about ears.

When I was in junior high, my elf ear was a little bit of a taboo subject. I was super shy, and so it made for some awkward times when other students would talk to me ever, let alone about my ear.
Fellow student: "Why do you have pointy ears? Are you an elf?"
Courtney: "I used to be."
Fellow Student: "Really?!"
Courtney: "Yeah, lived at the North Pole and everything, but I wasn't good at building toys, so Santa got real mad and kicked me out one day but not before cutting the tip off one of my ears first."
Fellow Student:

Also, on a separate note, my eardrum is healed.

Yesterday, a girl at school told me she likes my elf ear.

pink tympanic barrs

I have a ruptured tympanic membrane in my left ear. Also, I have conjunctivitis(more commonly known as pink eye) in my left eye. I got blood drawn to test for the epstein barr virus, or mononucleosis. I'm crossing my fingers that the results come back negative.

I originally got on the computer to write a paper that is due on Monday at four but BYU's library website is just not working so I'm blogging instead!

Last week, as many of you probably already know, was the fourth of july!! Happy Independence day!! It was so fun because on the 2nd I went and watched the stadium of fireworks, then on Monday we did fireworks with my family in the rain, which was super fun(a little anticlimatic, but fun.) But after that it was so cool because this is the first year that big fireworks have been legal in Utah, so we went out on the deck and just watched fireworks being set off all over the valley. I felt so proud to be an American.

On Thursday morning I took my first (of the term) anatomy lecture midterm and I got a 96!!! Retaking this class was the best decision I've probably ever made. Okay, maybe not THE best, but in the my top five for sure.

My sister has mono and I'm scared I'm going to catch it from her.
